The Staff at Frontier Western Shop Home Decor Sales Associates Donna DeMott Donna was born in Brooks, AB, and raised in the ghost town of Wayne, AB. She lived in Sparwood for many years working in the hospitality industry, before moving to Nanton in 2003 and joining Gone SouthWest. When GSW merged with Frontier in January of 2009, Donna was happy to come along and become a part of the newly combined team.
Married to Jerry DeMott, they have two sons - Chad (Jamie) and Jason (Leslie) along with two granddaughters. Both sons team rope. Donna enjoys the western flair to life, loves the rugged outdoors, cooking and selling furniture! Her good humour, energy, spontenaeity and love of life is contagious and we're sure you'll enjoy meeting Donna when you visit Frontier! Dalanie Johnson - currently on maternity leave | Dalanie is the newest addition to the Frontier Western Shop team. Look for her in our Home Decor department. An Albertan since 2004 and loving it, Dalanie is enjoying the western lifestyle and environment here at Frontier.
Dalanie is engaged to be married, and besides working with us she is a busy mom. | Update! A new baby girl arrived happy & healthy on July 26! Congratulations!

Retail & Tack Sales Jamie Carey
| Jamie was born in Claresholm and raised on the family farm west of Stavely. Jamie has been showing and working with cattle ever since she could walk and loves the western lifestyle. At the tender age of 8 Jamie became a competitive figure skater, was on a competitive synchronized skating team that placed at Canadians in Toronto, and has been a professional skating and power skating coach for the last 4 years. In Jamie's spare time she can be found spending time with family, running or riding, and is currently learning how to rope! |
DeCoda Schuler - currently on maternity leave
 | DeCoda is the Retail Manager here at Frontier Western Shop. She started with us in 2007 as a sales associate and has climbed the ladder to management. DeCoda grew up on a small ranch west of Stavely, Alberta and has been an active member of the community ever since. DeCoda and her husband, Brent, are expecting their first child in July of 2010. DeCoda enjoys her days at Frontier working with the customers, learning about them and their experiences. When DeCoda is not helping you in store finding the best items to meet your needs she will be found researching and ordering new merchandise for the store. On DeCoda's days off she likes to spend her time outdoors running, riding, boating, camping and hiking. | | Update! Congrats to DeCoda and Brent on their new baby girl born July 23! |
Josh Toews
| Josh was born in Lethbridge, Alberta and grew up in the Claresholm/Fort Macleod area. He is the proud father to 6 year old daughter Aycie and has been competing in Bull Riding events at various levels since high school
Josh joined the Frontier team in 2008, as our Warehouse Assistant and has now found his niche as a tack sales associate. Josh and Amanda were married in June of 2009 and in his spare time enjoys golfing, Bull Riding, Team Roping and spending time with family.

Terri Ward
 | Terri grew up west of Claresholm, where her family raised cattle and horses. Loving the lifestyle Terri spent six years at the 96 Ranch where she had a hand in everything from calving, pasture doctoring, roping, raising and riding colts and most importantly having her daughter Sierra who is now 5! Both Terri and Sierra have a strong passion for barrel racing, with Terri training her own barrel horses. In March 2010, Terri came back to her roots and moved back to Claresholm with her daughter and joined our sales team here at Frontier. Terri and Sierra are loving every day and can't wait to see what the future has in store for them. | Mail Order Amanda Toews  | Amanda is one of our youngest and most energetic team members at Frontier Western Shop. After a very busy 3 years with us (joining in 2007), Amanda climbed the ranks to fill the position of Mail Order/ Internet Manager. As well as assisting customers and shipping orders, Amanda avidly leads our Mail Order Catalogue production and the westernshop.com website maintenance. Amanda grew up in Medicine Hat, AB, with one younger sister, Lindsay. Now Claresholm is home, along with husband, Josh, who is also a member of the Frontier team! Congratulations to Amanda and Josh who were married on June 6, 2009. In their spare time Amanda and Josh enjoy golfing and spending time with their families.

Mallory Norgard
| Mallory grew up on the family farm near Claresholm, and has one brother and one sister. Mallory started in the Wholesale Department at Frontier Western Shop in 2008, and now helps out in our Mail Order office. This busy high school senior Mallory just graduated from high school and was the recipient of the Grad Imagine Award! She has also been the Rocky Mountain Region Team Roping Assocociation Secretary/Treasurer for 2 years in addition to working for the following Roping and Rodeo associations:

Wholesale Heather Heather grew up on a cattle ranch in southern Alberta, joining Frontier in February 2006. Recently married to Fraser Daley, Heather enjoys ranching, reading, movies and snowboarding. She dreams of running a ranch with her husband and raising a family out in the country. | | Update! Receiving Warehouse Brian van der Veen, P.Log.
 | Brian was introduced to Frontier Western Shop as a Warehousing Consultant (on contract) in July of 2009 for our Warehouse Reconfiguration project. Soon after, Brian joined Frontier full time as the Warehouse Supervisor in November 2009. With 20+ years of warehousing and transportation experience, and a degree in Logistics (designated P.Log or Professional Logistician), Brian brings a wealth of education and experience to our team. Brian was born and raised just outside of Winnipeg, Manitoba. He moved to Alberta in the mid 70's and resides in Claresholm. In the 80's, Brian toured Western Canada as a professional musician. He still plays bass guitar and records music professionally, on occasion, as a hobby. He also enjoys golfing, camping, and fishing in his spare time. "I am very happy to be a part of the Frontier team, and am truly enjoying the country lifestyle. I am also really looking forward to experiencing and learning more about horses and rodeo. Being surrounded by so many wonderful and talented horse and rodeo people just makes you want to learn more about it and be a part of it!" says Brian. |
Skyler Brown
| Skyler began working at Frontier this past May 2009, starting out in Retail before moving into our Receiving Department. She grew up in Manitoba, and moved to Alberta with her family in 2005, now calling Nanton her home.
Skyler was raised around rodeo, with her parents, Al and Linda, owning Midnight Rodeo Company. Her older brother is now taking over the business with Midnight Bucking Bull. Barrel racing began at the early age of 4 and she still loves to compete. Skyler looks forward to becoming an Equine Body Worker and her spare time is filled with barrel racing jackpots, riding colts, and curling. |
Advertising
| Born and raised in British Columbia, Kristine joined the Frontier team in August of 2003. Over the years, Kristine's main focus has been our Mail Order Department, Retail Sales along with Website and Catalogue production. After taking a year's maternity leave she has now returned to our advertising department. Prior to becoming mom to her young son, Kristine spent all of her spare time with her barrel horses, training and competing on an amateur level. Now she enjoys spending all her spare time chasing her son on all of his various adventures!

Management Janyne Akins
| Janyne joined the management team here at Frontier in January 2009 and is the General Sales Manager. Through Frontier's merger with Gone Southwest Furniture in Nanton, Alberta, Janyne brought herself, her staff and her products to Frontier in Claresholm.
Besides owning and running Gone Southwest for 5 years, Janyne has been in the western wear and tack industry since graduating from college in 1996. Janyne has a certificate in Fashion Design and Merchandising as well as a Diploma in Interior Decorating. Janyne grew up on the family farm/ranch near Hanna, AB. and has competed in rodeo for most of her life at some level. Janyne and her husband Danny have lived south of Nanton, Alberta since 1997. The Akins family maintains a busy lifestyle with daughter Tory barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying and trick riding, son Quaid is an avid hockey player while both Janyne and Danny enjoy Team Roping when they can fit it in to their hectic schedules! |
DJ Woodward
| DJ, Terryl and their 8 year old son, Daxton, are now proud to call Claresholm home. They made the move after DJ became the General Manager for Frontier in the spring of 2009. DJ grew up on the family ranch just south of Cardston, Alberta. After he and Terryl married, they resided in Magrath for 13 years. DJ has competed in rodeo all his life, rising up through the ranks of High School Rodeo to the Professional level. In 2007, DJ fulfilled a lifelong dream of qualifying for the Canadian Finals Rodeo. While competing in rodeo all of his life, DJ has never been without a career. That's what makes his CFR qualification even more special. When DJ finished college he began working on a large ranch and feedlot for a few years before taking an Animal Health and Nutrition position with Archer Daniels Midland Co. at Lethbridge, Alberta. DJ stayed with ADM for 13 years before moving to Frontier in 2007. DJ loves being involved in Frontier. "I get to develop and promote products that I have used all my life and that I am passionate about. We have a great team of people on board at Frontier and that truly makes this place unique and different from most western stores" he says, then adds, "I love that Claresholm is truly traditional ranching and cowboy country. It's one of the few remaining places in Alberta where the west still lives.".
Outside of Frontier you will find DJ and Terryl either training a few horses or spending time with Daxton as he competes in many sports here in Claresholm.
